Butter London All Hail the Queen nail polishThis is the second Butter London nail polish I’ve tried, and I am just as impressed with the formula on this as I was with Yummy Mummy.

Butter London All Hail the Queen is a classic taupe, with silver holographic microglitter. Unfortunately, we are in for stormy weather here today, and at the rate my nails chip (usually within 1-2 days), I don’t have a choice but to take the photo with an overcast sky, so you don’t get to see the sparkles.

Introduced in Fall 2010, All Hail the Queen is actually very similar in tone to Yummy Mummy – the only real difference being that Yummy Mummy has shimmer, and AHTQ has microglitter. Otherwise both have an eminently wearable mid-range taupe creme base.

Application was a breeze. Sheer with first coat, and full coverage with the second (this is 2 coats over Seche Base and topped with Out the Door top coat), just the way I like it. Not too thick, not too thin – it’s the Goldilocks of nail polish formulas.

If Butter London keeps this up, my Chanels are going to start taking a back seat. Well, nah, not really. But I do have a bottle of Trout Pout on its way to me from a recent swap, and Knackered yet to try.

Butter London All Hail the Queen nail polish is US$14 and is available widely, including at Sephora, Nordstrom, and of course,

My reviews are of products I purchased, and that I (usually) love. Other than affiliate links with Amazon, I receive no compensation, samples or other products of any kind.
